Established in 2008 by a group of Columbia, South Carolina based business people, The Palmetto Arts Society exists to bring hope and wholeness to our communities through the fine arts. The Society achieves this objective through the nationally acclaimed and award winning Art In Schools program. This is a unique and one-of-a-kind program that brings original museum quality works of art into classrooms where it shared with children. These original works of art are by some of the greatest masters in history including: Picasso, Fabergé, Pasqualini and others, and are acquired from the great auction houses of the world including Sotheby's London, Sotheby's New York, and Wilnitsky, Austria.
Though founded and based in Columbia, South Carolina, the work of The Society is by no means limited in geographic scope. The Society maintains regional offices in Las Vegas, Nevada and Lubbock, Texas, and the work of The Palmetto Arts Society has reached in excess of 50,000 school children across the United States.
The Palmetto Arts Society is a registered not for profit corporation based in Columbia, South Carolina governed by a board of directors and operates with recognition of tax exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service.
